Turn power on with the ON/OFF key switch located at the right of the manual keyboard.

Request container by keying in tray number and pressing MANUAL REQUEST.

MANUAL RETURN or requesting another container will return the present container.

CNTNR OUT is not requesting container to be brought forward from the storage area. CNTNR OUT and CNTNR IN are commands when placing containers in and out of the physical system.

Ten (10") inch is the maximum height that the trays can handle.

Two hundred (200 lb.) pounds is the maximum payload for each tray.

Note: The serial line driver does not turn on with the Kardex power switch. Make sure it is plugged into 110 V power receptacle for remote communication. The serial communication parameters are: 300 baud, no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit.

For remote communication, 252 is our system unit number, this number must be included in all commands.

e.g.: Status request: [header char (01)] [unit (252)] [status request command (05)] [line feed (10)]

        Tray request [(01)] [(252)] [call command (C)] [tray number (##)] [(10)]

To request a tray, the system must be in idle mode. Requests are lost, if unit is busy.
